Who is the Ensemble Toned? We, the ensemble Toned, are an 8-member, fun-loving, musical community in old age from 20 to 30 years of age + choirmaster. Singing as well our love for music has united us for many years. Our group size is small but nice. We see our size not as a disadvantage, but rather as Advantage. The smaller the group, the better and New songs can be practiced faster and practiced ones Improve songs. Our choir director Jutta can due to the size of the group individually to each single voice of the singer and "train" us. Nobody can get behind the voice hide someone else's. Which song genres do we sound out? We sing a cross-genre selection of songs, from hymns to the latest pop, such as B. “A stone falls into the water”, “Diamonds are a girls best friend”, “Sixteen Tons”, “King of the road”, “Royals” and many more. We usually sing in 3 to 4 voices. When and where do you rehearse? The rehearsals take place every Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the rooms of the Haus der Musik, formerly the rooms of the Adolf Schwab Music School in Klein-Steinheim. The entrance is on Molitorstrasse. There is a large entrance to the parking lot and then the first door on the right. How about the expansion of the group? We are always happy about new members! Our limit is currently around 15 people. We are looking for advanced singers who manage to keep up with the rehearsals, as there is a certain vocal as well as vocal technical level. Basses and tenors are in great demand with us - since we currently have a single tenor, it would be nice if a bass could be found that could support our tenor and our female basses would be happy if they were allowed to return to their ancestral vocal landscape . History of the ensemble: Our group grew out of a children and youth choir of the cath. Church choir of the parish of St. Johann Baptist, Hanau - Steinheim. In 2013 we decided to become self-employed and founded the group “Ensemble Toned” - Why did we choose the name “Toned”? Well, every singer in our ranks has a very individual sound character and voice color. The audience can hear every single voice in the overall sound. The tones sound different depending on the mood, emphasis and dynamics. When we sing together, each of us has the opportunity to make our own voice sound different and to “tone” the voice and the overall sound of the group, so we found the name “Toned” to be a perfect fit for us.
