Das sind wir: Die Barcelona Singers Über uns Begonnen hatte alles im Fühjahr 2022. Die Welt war COVID-geplagt, und trotzdem probte einer von Herrn Schnadts Chören unbeeindruckt, aber mit Abstand und im Freien, tapfer einmal pro Woche in der Hoffnung auf bessere Zeiten. Die Sehnsucht nach freiem Reisen und fröhlichen Begegnungen war groß. In diese Stimmung hinein erklärte Herr Schnadt diesem Chor, dass er in den Herbstferien mit Premiumschülern eine Konzertreise nach Barcelona zu Freunden aus dem Opernumfeld unternehmen würde. Einige Mitglieder des Chores waren bereits 2012 mit ihm zusammen nach Barcelona gereist und hatten diese wunderbare Erfahrung nicht vergessen. Also war schnell klar: „Wir wollen mit!“. Nach anfänglich klarer Ablehnung, die im Verlauf der wochenlang andauernden Quengelei in etwas moderateres Zögern überging, kam dann irgendwann mit einem Lächeln das Zugeständnis: „OK, wenn Ihr 7 Personen seid, dann dürft Ihr mit“. Am Ende reiste eine größere Delegation von 15 Projekt-Choristen plus Schülern und Begleitpersonen nach Barcelona und hatte dort ein unvergessliches Konzert mit der Unterstützung der befreundeten spanischen Musiker. Schnell war klar, dass sich aus diesem Auftakt ein neuer Projektchor entwickeln würde und die „Barcelona-Singers“ aus Hessen waren geboren. Der Chor trifft sich einmal pro Monate für 90-120 Minuten zu einer intensiven Probe in Hanau. Daraus ergeben sich regelmäßig Auftritte bspw. bei offiziellen Veranstaltungen des Hauses der Musik. Die Reiselust ist ungetrübt und im Mai 2024 reiste die auf 25 Sänger und Sängerinnen angewachsene Gruppe mit Begleitpersonen und Premiumschülern nach Sardinien, der Heimatinsel einer der Sopranistinnen. Dort wurde ebenfalls mit lokalen Musikern konzertiert und auch das Feiern und das kulturelle Eintauchen in eine Region mit uralten Gesängen, Tänzen und Bräuchen kam nicht zu kur z. Mission Willkommen in unserer musikalischen Familie! Unser Chor bringt nicht nur Freude, sondern auch eine wunderbare Gemeinschaft durch das Singen! Wir suchen leidenschaftliche neue Chormitglieder, die mit uns die Begeisterung für die Musik teilen möchten. Komm zu uns und erlebe die unvergessliche Freude am Chorgesang!
